The Client Service and Collections Supervisor reviews and services client accounts for both Bank clients and in-house clients. Analyzes client history and disputes. Cancels finance charges, late fees and restructures accounts when applicable. Processes monthly billing, issues credit balance refund checks, processes credit cards, sends daily letters, prepares bank deposits and processes payments on accounts.

 

Responsible for the collection of delinquent accounts, updating account status with credit agencies, interacting with law firms and outside collection agencies. Familiar with collection laws and practices in the US.

  • Performs process, prepare, maintain and analyze special account items such as account adjustments, credit balance reconciliation, refund requests, lock box reconciliation and chargeback retrievals.
  • Coordinates the month end closing and statement processing which includes interfacing with IT, accounts payable, credit, retail stores, and all other applicable internal resources.
  • Oversees the credit card embossment process.
  • Collects assigned accounts through phone contact, correspondence, and skip tracing.
  • Maintains collection class production standards as established by the Director
  • Prepares and assigns collection accounts to attorney and agencies.
  • Maintains current account data
  • Serves as company representative in litigation on delinquent accounts.
  • Serves as custodian of records for company subpoenas.
  • Requires frequent contact with clients, store associates, financial institutions and business partners.
  • Responsible for daily supervision of credit reps in ensuring task completion and outstanding client service delivery
  • Multi-task and team player.
  • Must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum 2-years of college or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience client services and collections experience

 

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills (Spanish and English)
